IEEE 1394 is a low cost, high performance integrated serial bus. This serial bus supports data rates of 100, 200 and 400 Mbits/s across a 1394 cable. The 1394 standard provides new services such as real time I/O and live connect/disconnect capability for external devices including disk drives, printers and hand-held peripherals such as scanners, digital cameras and digital video camcoders (DV).This product is a PCI card with two(2) IEEE 1394 ports. This Product uses TI's IEEE1394 chip with rectangle size PCB, while previous model P1394T is with triangle size PCB.2.
